On his album Death in Haiti the sound artist compiled recordings that he made at funerals in Port-au-Prince. You hear prayers, singing, sobbing – and especially brass bands playing pious blues and jazz pieces during funeral processions and at the grave. In Krems Félix Blume presents a sound installation based on the oldest version of marching band music, which was brought by Haitian refugees to New Orleans at the begin.
